About Erika Miklovic
Hello! I have been painting professionally for over 25 years. I currently paint with acrylic and watercolor. I paint mostly florals and landscapes. I like to throw in an occasional abstract & have been known to dabble in illustration. You can visit my studio in the historic Jones Building in Downtown Findlay, Ohio.
I am from NW Ohio, but spend my summers in Northern Michigan at Camp Walden as their Art Director. In our studio, we paint, draw, print-make, create jewelry, copper enamel, tie-dye, make candles, lapidary, sculpture, nature art, collage, and have a full ceramics studio. It is one of my favorite places to be.
My love of camp inspired me to open Happy Camper Art Studio. Sadly, in January it sustained major damage due to a fire in the neighboring building and had to be demolished. Happy Camper exists online (where it began) and I am working to build online creative communities and regular art meetups.
I have been a Teaching Artist for nearly as long as I have been painting professionally. I have taught classes at Tiffin University, Owens Community College, Kan Du Studio, North Baltimore Schools and workshops for various groups and organizations. I currently teach full time at NB schools and run an award winning After School Art program at the North Baltimore Public Library.
Thank you for visiting my corner of the internet! I am continually humbled by the support of my dreams.
